- Monitor the utilization of various funds and own-source revenue of Grama Panchayats.
- Ensure the registration of all births, deaths, and marriages taking place in the state.
- Approve the by-laws of Grama Panchayats.
- Determine the number of members in the three-tier Panchayat system.
- Distribute various social security pensions.
